Hackney Museum is a well-established community museum with a clear ethos of community engagement. During the Our Museum initiative, the organisation underwent a series of changes, both as a result of the programme and due to wider circumstances. As a result, staff and community partners have reflected on the purpose of the organisation and better identified how to respond to the needs of local communities in meaningful ways.
